celebrate local craft beer with a few thousand friends

In 2009, the amount of craft beer festivals in New Mexico could be counted on one finger. One year later, the New Mexico Brew Fest doubled that number.

Now, of course, fresh craft beer can be found just around the corner in most places. In terms of community, the craft beer scene in New Mexico has been a boon to the state’s culture and economy, and continues to grow each passing day.

This is what NMBF has always celebrated: the culture of local beer, the award-winning talent of the state’s brewmasters and the people who flock to savor every sip.

a celebration of local craft culture

Add that spirit of revelry to a lineup of local musicians, multiple menus of homegrown food, astounding weather, numerous artist and business vendors and the glorious people (and people watching)! That makes for a pretty splendid fall afternoon in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Pair that with a morning trip to the International Balloon Fiesta or a tram ride to the top of Sandia Mountain, and you have all the makings of a perfect New Mexico day.

taste local craft at its best

Upon entry, festival-goers are handed a glass (not a plastic cup; a bonafide pint glass) which they can take to the 20+ beer, cider and spirits vendors for complimentary samples of any number of styles each individual vendor pours.

Have a taste. Have a pint. Have both.

Just pay for a full pint of your favorite brew and chill for awhile. Eat some tasty food. Listen to local music. Peruse the artist and vendor gallery. Play a yard game, or just lay back in the grass and soak it all in. This is a celebration of you, the beer aficionado, and the folks that handcrafted that liquid gold in your glass.
